finally, the spring semester gonna start tomorrow... one more day for me to relax... this semester... it's gonna be different... well... i'll try :P

1 more year for me... and we'll see what the future holds... i can't wait...

Been spending too much... and gonna spend much more.... sigh... haven't got all books that i need... lol...

Had a good time at home, in indonesia... didnt spend much not time tho... only about 3 weeks... not enough!!! should've just extended it til after the chinese new year, which falls on the 23rd... sigh... oh well... i dont wanna miss the 1st week of school anyways... tho i know that there's not much on the 1st week...

i have nothing much to say now... still too early for me to think... hahaha... have a great one, people!!!

long time no see...
it's me again... trying to pour stuff that's stuck in my head to this small box... but somehow i can't... trying tho...
Lots of stuff in my head... and heart... and as usual... both are always conflicting with each other...
Rational vs. emotional...
the rational part of me says not to follow the emotion, and not to be crazy... but there's always this thing called hoping... and that's when the heart starts to do the thinking...
the emotional part of me, tell me not to be such a stickler... be human for a bit... but then i'm saying to myself... stop daydreaming, huan... blame my head for that....

Heading home next week... can't wait... need to take a break from all this thing... wanna see how my mom's been since i left early this year... bro kept telling me she's been having this gastric problem, but my mom said that she's fine... she's never wanted her kids to be worry... just like my dad... sigh... i miss him so much...

haven't done much shopping, seperti biasa lah... sistem kebut semalem... hahaha... lots of to do list... but still have 3 more finals to go next week before i head home... hahhahah.. i'm screweddd!!! :P oh well...

I wont be working anymore next semester, one part of me kinda excited to quit the job... another part, kinda nervous about not earning some money to spend... kinda excited as well to see how my life gonna be without a job... it wont be that much different i guess... since it's not really an important kind of job, and it's just a part-time job anyways... so yea... we'll see...

It's been more than a year now since she passed away... man, how time flies... and i still miss her... there's a part of me that still regretting not going back home that summer... regretting for leaving her alone in suffering... til now i still wonder if she was suffering before her passing... i know i should just move on... i've been moving on... but the questions will always be there...

it's been a tough semester for me... been trying to improve... been trying to manage my time wisely, between school, work, and life in general... tired mentally... and it kinda drag to my physical and emotional state... sometimes i just convince myself that it most likely that it's my hormones that are controlling me...

Heading home in december... Miss my family and friends at home... since i dad passed away... i kinda lose hope on my future... actually i dont mind to stay at home... and just let go what i've been dreaming to do...

i guess i should be more careful about how i position myself while sleeping... hurt my right shoulder while sleeping, and then i injured it again at the gym yesterday... sigh... now it hurts so much, i can't move my shoulder that much... took an 800-mg ibuprofen... hope it helps... man, i can't even put my shirt on without feeling the pain...

finals are coming soon, tho i still have 1 more regular exam this week... after that? me going home... not really sure what i'm gonna do for 9 hours for my transit in singapore... i'll be landing in singapore at midnight, and the flight to jakarta is at 10am... hmmm... better pack up some movies... planning to buy some books online... hmmm... recommendations?

Happy Gobble2 day to those who celebrates it...

Spend most of my days here at home... doing work... yea... decided to bring some work home... lame me... hehehe... it's okay lah... got paid extra :D... my landlord and his family's going to their friend's house for a thxgiving dinner... hope they bring leftovers... :P (update: they brought leftovers!!! yay!!!)

so many things that i wanna buy on this year's blackfriday sales... but i kinda tight on my budget... plus i don't really wanna add junks to my current belongings... pa lagi kl ntar pindahan lagi... tambah ruwet dah kl makin banyak barang... hmmm... maybe not this year...

i'll be heading home in december... can't wait to see my dad... haven't purchased the ticket tho... gonna check with a travel agent again tomorrow... hopefully i can get a good deal...

okay, i thought i'm gonna type somethin longer... apparently my eyes are not co-operating... so i'm gonna get some sleep now.. continue tomorrow?...

hello again,
i've been lazy... HAHA!

Had a pretty full weekend last week... went to international dinner, and went to see talent show on friday night... the food wasn't impressive... rada rugi malah... out of all the food they served, there were only two that i like the most... the talent show was good tho... the organizer and the participants did very well... i know most of the guys like the break dance, and *of course* the belly dancing... *drool*

on saturday, went to a free show, organized by an asian american student association here on campus... there were 2 main shows... first is the movie that they made... the movie was funny and the audience could really see the hard work that they put in making the movie... it was based on the movie inception, and they modify it so that it was related to their student organization... The second part of the program was performed by an asian-american theater group called HereandNow... They were flown in from LA... for me, the performance were awesome... they performed different skid/acts, and basically were reflection of asian-american culture... most of the acts are funny, tho there were some serious/sad moments that almost brought me to tears... awesome!

so i decided to head home this december, haven't booked the ticket yet... most prolly gonna do it tomorrow... oh well... the consequences of doing a last minute booking... paying a high price on tickets... haiz... can't wait to see my parents tho...

Poppy passed away last night... She was at a dorm... my mom was gonna go to visit her that morning when she got a call from the dorm... The people found her Monday morning(Jakarta time), they suspected she died that morning itself, or the night before... She died in peace they said... There were no signs of illness or suffering before she passed away... I got the phone call from my mom last night, when i was about to fall asleep... i went blank at first... but within seconds, my tears came out... she then asked me if it's okay to cremate her, and scatter her ashes at the beach... i told her it's okay to cremate her, because that crossed my mind before... yea... i thought i was prepared... but i asked her to keep the ashes... she said the ashes are not supposed to be kept... so, we decided to cremate her, and scatter her ashes at a beach... the people back home are still trying to get everything sorted out... i asked my mom to keep poppy's chain for me...

it's been almost 14 years Poppy in our lives... February 1997, was i when i first got her... the 26th if i'm not mistaken... she was only 2 months old... she was a puppy that someone had bought, and was returned to the pet shop, on very same the day that i got her... apparently she was returned because she was sick, we found that out the next day, because she showed some signs of weakness... the vet told us it was a virus, and it might be dangerous for her... my dad suggested to return her to the petshop, and get a new one... i told him no, and i'd take care of her... we've been closed ever since...

All my pain and joy, my secrets, she knows... she knew when i was down, she knew how to cheer me up... she protected me all the time, even tho the person who were gonna hit me, was doing it for fun... and since i've been gone from home, she always waited for me, and always greet me with tons of excitement whenever i went home... that big smile, those big eyes, those wagging hips, and that wagging short tail... are no more... there'd be time when i treated her bad due to my short temper, but she always forgiven me, and somehow made what i did had never happened... she made me happy... and i'm grateful, while i'm not home, my family was caring for her too...

there's a part of me that blame myself, and regretting why i decided not to go home to visit her this past summer... i should have... but I've made my choice... and regrets always come last, right? i wish i know... if she really died peacefully... if she was really happy... was she lonely when she passed away in the dorm... was she heartbroken... i wish i know...

i guess there's no use of me wondering... she's already gone...

Thanks for everything that you have given us Pop... I'll miss you always... thanks for always be there for me... thanks for being my best friend... thank you... we all gonna miss you... have fun up there...

PS: was staring at her picture last night. It was sitting on a bench by the window... suddenly a fly landed on her picture... moved around a lil'... and then flew... it then flew to my arm... and we made eye contact for a while... the color was not black and greenish, but it was black and a lil' metallic tan... hmmm... was it a sign? or was it just me trying to comfort myself... i dont know... but after that it flew away again...

finally... i got 8hrs of sleep last on saturday... went to study with my chemistry tutor in the afternoon, and went for a work out after that... somehow i felt weak during the workout... but i kept on going :P anyways...maybe i felt lazy for a minute there... went home, had dinner (tonite's menu: Cap cai!!!), did my laundry... read a lil'... and mannn... badan gue lemes!!!... dunno why dah... but it lasted till this afternoon... had to take a couple cups of coffee... but my head was still heavy...

Gonna make myself to sleep a lil' early than usual on Sunday, tuesday and thursday nights... don't usually get enuff sleep on those nights, and sometimes ended up feeling sleepy in class... or maybe it's just me that's a lazy bump... :P

Was told that i'm supposed to take a multivitamin everyday... i tried once before, few years ago, but ended up getting a headache... maybe i got the wrong brand or type... any recommendation?

yea... it's school week, but me still awake... not normal at all for me... considering i only had an hour of sleep last night... took about 1/2 hour of nap on campus after work, before the tornado alarm went off, and me and some other students were trapped in the basement of a student center... only spent about 1/2 hr in the basement due to my nekat-ness of walking to the gym hahaha... went to the gym, finding some more students were hiding in the gymnastics room as well as the locker room.. luckily they took the alarm/warning off 10 minutes after i reached the gym... yea... this is kansas... it was 80-ish in the afternoon, and suddenly... yea... some people said that there's actually a touch down somewhere... kinda worried about my car coz of the hail that came... gotta check it in the morning...

got to hang out with an ex co-worker today after work... i was planning to go home and study, but somehow i feel like catching up with her, since we haven't hang out for sometime since her last day at the office... spend about a couple of hours with her, since she had to go somewhere, and i had to go home too... hopefully she wasn't bored (she knows how boring i am :P, i think...). Anyways, planning to do some photo hunting with her in a cemetary next week... hmmm...

Had a busy day, yesterday... woke up at about 7 to iron, and left at 8-ish for my testing... went to the campus to drop my homework, and then volunteered at the zoo for the zoobilee... man, it was an experience seeing people bidding... reached home at about 1130-ish at night, was gonna do my homework, but then i fell asleep in front of the computer for a bit, so i decided to just go sleep :P... woke up this morning, feeling heavy... plus i had stuffy nose, decided to take some flu medicine... went back to sleep for about 2 hours... woke up dengan mata super berat... hahaha... but what to do... pr numpuk euy... finally decided to drink a couple cups of coffee... ngga gt bantu jg... huahauhaua...

Tests are coming this week... starting on wednesday... haizzz... me not ready (news flash?!?!?)...

Had to reinstall my ubuntu the other day, luckily the process didnt take long... but i had to re-do most of the customization, and install some software that i lost... also some drivers... haiz... especially the compiz...

A film fest in coming up in October... can't wait to see what movies being listed this year...

i wonder when i can make myself stop being worry about how the future might be... i do take things one step at a time tho, but it doesnt mean that i never thought about what/ how my life is gonna be... at the end, i do wanna be happy... but where is the limit... i feel that i am happy, but being a hungry human that i am, i wanna be happier... kept thinking on when i'm gonna be secure enough to not think about where to live, thinking on when i'm gonna tell myself that it's time for me to settle... thinking of what the future have for me and the people around me... hmmm too much thinkin eh? :P

The weather's been kind lately here in wichita... the lowest so far was 58-59F in the morning... tho in the afternoon it got higher, but it wasn't as high as before... yea, u can really tell the differences, tho i heard it's gonna be high again next week... we'll see...

Was trying to use my long weekend time efficiently and productively, but i failed... as usual... :P haiz... me such a procrastinator... hehehe... (and somehow i'm proud of it!)...

Decided to make something today, and i wanted something heavy, so i decided to make a heart-attack-waiting-to-happen food (which i've been tahan2 since couple of days ago)... last time, i made green bean casarole (with queso con salsa and spicy sausage), but today i decided to make a chicken salad (for sandwich) which made of chunks of chicken breast, mayo(tons of it), relish, celery (to make u feel a lil less guilty :P) , pistachio (since i dont have pecan), blackpepper (of course, doh!)... was gonna add a lil' lemon juice, to see how the flavor gonna be, but i again, i didnt have it...

fell on the back of my head first the other day, and now my shoulders are hurting, and so does my neck... sigh... sakettttttttt... i need a good masseuse... hehehe...

Still adjusting with my new school - work - working out schedule... so far, i have to admit that i'm having difficulties... need to get myself used to "begadang" to study or do homework... or if i can't, i have to train myself again to wake up really early, and study... tho i know i'll have some problems in staying awake in class... haiz... i don't really wanna make myself to drink coffee every morning like i used to last year... tho i enjoy the taste, and i have to admit, coffee helps...sometimes...

Watched a movie titled "Long Road to Heaven"... it tells the story about the 2002 bali bombing... for me, it's a good movie... almost brought me to tears, thinking why and how such people exist... and gimana sesama bangsa sendiri, kok tega2nya menyakiti...

helped a co-worker and her husband moving on sunday, from about 9 am to almost 8... and then continued to another friend's house (with my landlord), who were leaving wichita for good, so the family decided to give out some stuff to us, and also to pamitan... we jarah lots of stuff... and the sad part is that our community is getting smaller... sigh... oh well... o yea.. picked up a bookshelf which i have to do some repair (sengaja ambil buat keisengan bener2in :P)... hmmm maybe that's gonna be my labor day holiday + fall break + thxgiving break + maybe christmas break project... :P... Gonna do some cleaning, coating, and fixing some edges that's already messed up... fun fun!!!

Gonna do some fixing with the plank of wood next to the shelf, but i have to check with a friend of mine who has a saw and a saw table...


Need lottssss of cleaning and coating... cleaning especially...

Gonna tear that part out and replace it with the plank of wood in the above picture...

Sedih coz one by one, my friends are starting to leave this place... and u know how hard it is for me to socialize these days... hais... hmmm can't wait for my turn... oh wait... i leave too many times already :P

Starting a piggy bank soon, not really sure what the purpose for besides just savings, but somehow i wanna aim for something with that piggy bank money... hmmm... we'll see...

been lazy of doing workouts this week... had a farewell dinner yesterday, so i decided to skip the gym... and today... me just being lazy... was too crazy at work... at about 3 pm, i didn't feel like doing anything at all after work... decided to skip class... left the office at 5 pm, walked with a friend to the parking lot... decided to sit under a tree, avoiding the sun and heat... chatted for about an hour... since she had to leave... it was a good chat tho... nice to see someone who don't usually open up face to face, to actually share her story... hope she understands that i'm not good in relationship issues, but i'm willing to listen... i love to listen actually... tried to fast the other day but me failed... hahaha... ngga tahan bo...

man, in less than 1 week, the school's gonna start.... haizzz... me no ready lah... buku pun blm beli :P

My head been hurting these past few days... started 3 days ago with a headache from the top of my head... took about 4 ibuprofen... it was better yesterday, tho it was still felt kinda heavy... and today... it got worse again... haiyah... the pain moved to the sides of my head tho... tp kl diteken, it didnt hurt that bad... hmmm it's aite it's aite... gonna have lots and lots and lots of sleep tonite...

went to this TKD demonstration by a korean tkd team... it was the awesomest thing i've seen... man, i wish i can jump that high... them dudes were flying alright... took some pictures, haven't uploaded them yet...

not sure what my plan is for this weekend... usually i go to the gym on saturday afternoon, but this weekend, the school gym is closed, and i'm too lazy to go to the Y... hmmm... we'll see lah tomorrow...

I know that i like to travel around, and still wanna wonder here and there... there's a point when i wanted to just settle... but somehow i don't really want to... hmmm... maybe i'll change my mind when the circumstances change... sometimes i wonder what the reason might be... maybe i still wanna explore what's out there? maybe i wanna gain more knowledge and experience? or maybe there's other reasons that i haven't figured out yet? hmmm...

Was watching a movie on my computer this late afternoon, and all i could think about is having a bottle of beer... it's been a while since i had my last bottle... every time i craved for one, i'd say to myself and i'll be getting one, and i tried to tell myself that once in a while a bottle wont hurt, but i never end up getting one... today, i tot i was gonna get my butt off the chair, and go buy one... but i remembered that alcohols are not sold here on sundays... the craving was still there... so i decided to have a jog... it's been a while as well since i jogged the last time... i have to admit, i don't have a good cardio stamina... but i like the tired feeling, and the feeling of being outside... so yea... i take lots of breaks to catch my breath... but still... the feeling of not thinking shit but my breathing and my steps really help me a lot mentally...

Got back last nite from my vacation in the west coast... had a great trip, learned lots of things too... thanks to a friend who'd been a great host... hope u had fun too... thank you... Had to deal with jet lag (walo cuman 2 jam beda) for the first couple of days, but me managed :D...

Gonna go back to work tomorrow, back to me routine before the classes in fall start (Aug 19). hmmm... thinking what to do for the next holidays/ vacation... most prolly gonna be working in the fall break... but either way, me not ready for school to start... hehehehe... so so so not ready...

sampe kapan mesti sabar di tempat kerja walaupun bayarannya kecil, tp somehow it's the only job u can have rite now? hmmm... terkadang bingung... hampir tiap ari debat sama salah satu full-time staff... well, debat bae2 sih, kaga sampe dimasukin ke hati... abis beda pendapat, ya move on... tp tetep aje... Gimana kalo tiap kl apa yg loe kerjain, orang itu yg selalu ambil creditnya? ya selama ini sih gue nyantai2 aje, tp lama2 gondok jg seh, walo hal2 kecil doank... mulai minggu ini hours gue bakal di cut dr 35 ke 21 doank... ya mayan seh... pendapatan berkurang... tp dipikir2... banyak hal lain yg bisa gue urusin di siang hari... drpd bengong2 di tempat kerjaan jg... hehehe... ya bakal ada bosennya jg seh... but oh well... mo diapain lagi... budget cut sucks... been thinking of quitting the job as well...

Poppy's been admitted to the hospital, been having skin problem, also, her legs are already too weak... she's been kinda forgetful, and she's been throwing up and defecating irregularly... people at home had to assist her to get on the car... and the doctor said that it will be better if she stays there for couple of weeks... and if it's necessary, they gonna move her to a unit at the ragunan zoo... wish her well... please...

again, i almost lost my patience at work today... haiz... dimana ya batasnya... i understand if some cultures think that some way of conversing to other people is normal meskipun that is considered as kasar... but i do have problems with attitude... and ignorance... and seriously i can just explode any second now... haiz... maybe i'm taking this job too seriously... i need a new one i guess... :P oh well... i can use the money seh...

Was bored at home after work... took my dinner, then i got bored of just sitting in front of the computer, bored of not doin somethin useful to meself... so i decided to do the thing that i tot i'll never do... i decided to go jogging... okay i lied... i walked around the neighborhood... walked for about 45 minutes, total of 2 miles more or less... got a little sweat, but i was happy enuff to be out for awhile... the sweat actually made my body feel good... tho i know that i wont be able to move my legs tomorrow :P... oh well, hopefully i find the niat to do it again of friday... we'll see lah :P

1. done with finals last week, two of my 3 grades have come out... and didn't do well in one of the classes... hopefully the other one comes out on monday...

3. got 40hr work til june 7th, after that, me not sure... the schedule is not out yet, but from what my boss said, we all wont be getting 40-hrs work... it's okay lah...
4. registered for my fall classes... hehehe... and for now... me gonna enjoy me summer dolo... :P

It's 4 am, and i'm awake... thanks to my allergies, and sinus... this is what i hate living in this country, every year, twice a year... spring and fall... i'm tortured... i'll be awaken in the middle of my sleep, sneezing, and my nose is always conjested with sinus... and it so freakin' hurts... took some pills, and the reaction take sometime... so i rather wake up and go online or study perhaps... i'm having less sleep on those two seasons... what pissed me off tonite is that, i'm supposed to wake up at 5.00 today to study, but i guess i'm not gonna... everytime i feel miserable like this, all i can think about is that i wanna leave this place for good...

Had somewhat a good time at the zoo in salina yesterday... tho didn't get to see all the animals there, since we were running out of time... and guess what i did yesterday after the trip... reading my biology book... yes people... believe it or not... i can't even believe it myself... :P tho i didnt cover most of the topics for the test on wednesday, but still, i was surprised to see that i was reading on saturday hahaha... well, prolly coz i had a friend there who accompanied me to study, so i need to look like i was concentrating :P lol... did the studying at a hot dog place, near downtown... nice small place, funky hot dogs... they have about 30-40 choices of hot dogs, i picked the ones with jalapenos and hot sauce, and a chilli dog... and my friend had the guacamole hot dog and mac&cheese hot dogs... she said they were good... curious about the peanut butter and dog, prolly next time :P o yea, the name of the place is Let's Be Frank...

Got home at night, around 930, when i got out of my car, i felt like looking up, so i looked up, and found that the sky was clear, and i could see stars... lots of them :P... i realized that i haven't looked up to the sky for awhile, and last night, i felt good (tho my neck hurts a little after that :P)... hmmm...

Finally, i found the time and the niat to update this blog...

What i have been busy with... hmmm...

Well, practically, i've been lazy... hehehe... besides being occupied with school, part-time job, and other activity...

My head has been empty for a while now... never really know what to write... never really know what to say... never really know what to do... somehow i feel like i need a break from my daily routine... but somehow i feel i don't deserve it since i feel like i've been slacking too much... plus, i've been having breaks every weekends (like today), haven't i??? hmmm...

Due to my iseng-ness, i messed up my computer... AGAIN!!!... decided to re-install windows since i have been having problems with it for the last couple of weeks... I tought that i did the re-installation rite... but apparently, i was wrong... i ended up messing up my linux... haiz... i couldn't log in to my linux anymore... so... i ended up re-installing both OS's and mannnn... it took me hours... and they are not even totally done yet this second... the worst part is that, now i have to re-install the programs that i had before... haiyahhh... rese dah... second plan... to get an external hard drive, and move all my stuff from this computer, to the hdd, and do formatting all over again... hahaha... tunggu ada deal aja ah... for now, as long as i can do my homework... i'll be fine...

sorry for the delayed update...
here they are:

1. me finally got a car!!! :P went to oklahoma city last week, after seeing couple of cars, me decided to get a pontiac vibe... it's high in mileage, but the price after bargain is reasonable for a dealership car... but somehow i realized that i might be somehow kinda cheated... oh well... namanya jg dealer kecil... not really the car that i really wanted... but it works great... drives great... cheaper than my old car, and more fuel economical... maybe one day i can really get the car that i want... but for now... i'm happy with what i have now... :) haven't got the title yet, i hope i'll get it this week... maklum... agak mencurigakan :P thanks to mas hendra and family for letting me numpang :P

2. school started last week... fun classes, well, namanya jg baru minggu pertama... and my bio teacher this semester seems nice so far... and better than last semester... well, for now :P hmmm can't wait for spring break :P

3. Might be moving to my friend's house in March since my apartment contract gonna end on that month... what sucks is that at the end of February i'm gonna have a belt test for my tkd class, and it's also gonna be my moving day... haiz... maybe i should move the moving date to the week before...

my boss asked me if i've found someone special yet... i said no... everytime people asked me about this matter, i always have the reasons why... most of the time i will say that i dont know what/where my future gonna be... i don't want to be involved with somebody, and suddenly i have to leave... it's not fair for me... and most of all it's not fair for that person... eventhough i say that i don't mind a long distance relationship, as long as both parties work hard... still, the pain that both parties, especially the pain on someone that i care the most have to endure... that's just not fair... anywayz... honestly... i think my real reason is that... i'm scared... i'm seriously freakin' scared of getting emotionally involved with someone again... scared of getting hurt, scared of losing... scared of having to go thruogh the pressure, stress in me... not being able to concentrate in anything from the time i open my eyes in the morning to the second i wake up the next morning... hmmm.. maybe that's the beauty of this feeling? that's how we learnt about people, and life?hmmmm... but honestly i do miss having somebody... just the feeling of being committed to somebody, having the feeling to care for somebody more than i care for myself... the feeling of having someone that care for you as well... having a second to none... man, i really do miss having someone...

so... should i just ignore this scared feeling? hmmm maybe time will tell... i can't say much rite now... i can't say that i'm gonna shut my feelings nor i'm gonna say that i'm gonna use my feelings and not be logical/rational about it... things might change... again, time will tell... and we'll see from there...

went to oklahoma city yesterday... to check on two cars... it took about 2.5 to 3 hrs to reach there... saw both cars... happy with both, tho i prefer one to the other... the seller of the first car that i went to see, wants me to pay in cash, not check... and the thing is... today is saturday... and there's no way that i can go to the bank and withdraw that much of money, plus, i can't go back and forth wichita-okc twice since school/work is starting soon, and my friend wont be available anymore to accompany me for the trip... the next car is owned by a dealership... and they put a pretty high price for the car... and after checking the specs on the car, and consult it with my friend... we found out that the seller lied about one of the car feature... and he was pretty consistent about it... besides the lying part, my budget and their lowest mark apparently didn't meet... so... yea... ngga jadi deh...

went to an asian supermarket, bought some indonesian stuff... that cheered me up a little... went to the cheesecake factory, since a friend of mine wanted to get some cheesecake, and i ended up getting a slice too :P... enak euy...

I wonder why, with intelligence, comes arrogance... seriously.... aren't professors supposed to care/help the students... and be down to earth... aren't they supposed to share their passion, and channel it to students... show some enthusiasm in class when teaching... not just... lecturing (in this case, it's not actually lecturing, but it is like hearing some indonesian politician giving a speech, and most of the listeners fall asleep), and showing off his/her accomplishments... i know that we are university students, and we all are grown ups, and supposed to study ourselves, read the books, do the projects and those sorts... but i believe that teachers do play parts in our performance... well.. that just my thought... :P

2 weeks to go to the end of the semester... and i'm sooooo not ready... especially for finals... gonna have 3 finals in total, 2 of them are cumulative... and before the finals week... me still have 2 regular exams this week...

update on my car situation: the inspector called me on Thursday, telling me that she was at the junkyard checking on my car, and confirming that it was a total lost... She told me to pick up the stuff from my car... so i took time off from work the next day, and headed to the towyard. They moved my car to a new towyard... And when i saw my car... i was sad, and again, heartbroken... I said my final goodbye to her when i was done taking my stuff out... sigh... The inspector told me that i was gonna get a phonecall from the insurance agency about the compensation... but no calls so far... maybe tomorrow... sigh... car hunting again... been looking cars that are outside wichita as well.. but i can only go as far as kansas city... which is about 3 hr drive from here...

goshhh... i hate when different situations and feelings happen almost at the same time... it's making me hard to concentrate in my studies... i'm supposed to study for my chemistry test now... but all these stuff are in my mind, bothering me... argghhh... i have to study... i can't think of a new car, i can't think about my life rite now... concentrate will ya huan!

Contacted the insurance adjuster (finally!) this morning. He took my statement about what had happened, and also details about my car and the car that hit mine. Few hours later, after our first conversation, he gave me a call, saying that the damage is most probably gonna be a total lost... the inspector gonna go and check my car soon and give me the estimate... sobs... i'm really sad when he gave me the news... and he told me to get my stuff from my car at the tow yard... i told him that i couldn't even go near my car, since i have not paid the tow fee, and i told him if i should just pay it, and give the receipt to the inspector... and he said no, he said that i'm not supposed to pay for anything... so all i can do now is to wait for the inspector to contact me, and see when i can pick my stuff up... man... i'm not ready to part from my car... she's been good to me all these time... Then the adjuster told me that he already arranged a rental car for me... i was a lil' relieved... i don't have to worry about how i'm gonna go to my tkd class... well, my boss actually offered me the ride... but the insurance guy gave me the news just in time :P... so now i have a rental car... i need to give them a call back to check for how long i can use that car ... well... better than nothing kali ya... haiz...

Got into a car wreck last night... i was just few feet away from my apartment when the car hit mine. I was heading north, and i was on the outer lane, and he was heading South and he was in the inner lane of his bound. As i was driving i noticed his car went diagonally, and entered the North lane and headed towards my car. At a moment i tought that i was in the wrong lane, but i notice another car in the south lane, and i realized that he was the one who's in the wrong lane. So i honked him, but he did nothing, and his car hit mine. When i got hit, i felt suffocated. I tried to open the door, but the door was stuck. so i rolled down the window, and luckily it was working. And i realized that both airbags came out, and the powder/gas that came out of them made me hard to breathe. I called 911, but they were slow to pick up the phone. So i hung up. I tried to push the door as hard as i could, and it opened. I sat on the pavement and called 911 again... this time they answered. I told them the details and then they put me on hold, waited for about a minute or two, and then i hung up again. Luckily there were people from the neighborhood who came and helped. I couldn't find the car that hit mine. And then suddenly this young man showed up and asked me if i'm okay, and told me that he was the one who hit my car. I called 911 again, and told they told me to wait for the police to be there... and man, that was quiet a long wait, considering that the police station is only 2-3 blocks away (dan biasanya tuh polisi kl hari2 biasa, ngumpet di jalanan2 kecil di daerah situ). But at least they showed up. I asked the guy who hit my car if he was okay, and he said yes. At first i thought he was drunk, but he told us that he was falling asleep while driving, he just got back from Israel, and had a jet lag. I told him that i appreciate that he showed up, and being honest, instead of running away... because at first i thought he ran away, and man i'll be totally pissed if he ran away (well, percuma jg seh, ngabur gue ngga dapet license platenya, so nothing much i can do jg). Did some paperwork with the police, and the tow truck came, and took our car to the tow yard (well, my car to the tow yard, not sure about his car). Some friends came and helped as well... i took good care of that car, and now i feel heartbroken... seriously... i checked my car before it was towed, most of the things on the left (driver) side were damaged. both front tires were blown, the left hood was damaged. sigh... Gonna go to the tow yard today, to pick up some more stuff from my car....

UPDATE: went to the tow yard just now, and apparently they can't let me to my car since i don't have full coverage insurance... bah... So, it's either i have to pay the tow bill now, or wait for the insurance company to pay the towing... I was dissapointed coz non of the authorities or the tow truck drivers told me last nite about this matter... sigh...

Koopa's doing better these few days... i got him some aquarium salt last week, been changing part of his water every morning, gave him his medication every day, keeping him away from lights, especially sunlight, keeping his water warm... yesterday, he started to swim more actively, and responds to me well... his fins are getting better, he twitches less... haven't seen him twitching/darting at all these two days... fiuh... i think he's recovering faster that i expected... gosh... i hope i don't jinx it... please please please get well soon Koopa...

Made some mask for the centerpiece for the international dinner that we'll be having before the thanksgiving break... and honestly i enjoyed making them... tho i only do the base, not the painting... coz i'm not good at painting :P... we made masks from different countries... I asked my co-worker who's kinda leading the project, if i can make a mask from indonesia, since i didnt find one on the list... she said okay... so i browsed some websites, and finally found a figure that i like the most... which is.. Petruk... hehehe... so i started the mask... btw it is made of news papers that's been torn to small pieces, and glued on top of a plastic mask, that works as the cetakan :P, and finally covered with paper towel... Once the newspapers and paper towels are dry, it is easy to be taken off from the plastic mask... The plastic mask has normal nose and chin, thus i had to do some plastic i mean... paper surgery on the mask... I forgot to take some pictures when we started making the mask, sorry about that...

Yea... the title's right... Koopa's sick... and me sad... i think he has velvet... which gonna take about a month to treat... hiks... i don't mind to treat him at all... it just that, i feel like i'm a bad owner...
I tried to look what's wrong with the tank... nothing looked wrong... i googled some more information, and found an entry where someone found a rotten part of the water plant, that might have infected his fish... so i went to check on the plant on my tank... apparently... there's a rotten part of the root of my plant... it was black in color, and the "meat" of the root has disintegrated... huaaa... poor koopa... sigh... i'm not a good owner i guess... get well soon, kid... i miss playing with ya... hiks2.. sorry koopaaa... :(

Some of you know... that last thursdie was my birthday... the day went by as normal... with additional of birthday cakes, and wishes (thank you all)... Ate too much sugar on that day... got 2 birthday cakes at work... First is a chocolate cake that my supervisor made... Thank Terry!!!... second is a chocolate dirt cake... My co-worker gave me this flower in a cup... the flower was a real flower, with all those leaves and stuff... when i got it, she told me to try the soil... i was kinda bingung at first... and i realized that the soil was made of chocolate brownies with chocolate mousse and oreo... gosh... almost watered the flower :P...

The day then went on like normal... work still work... school still school... went home... browsed some sites... got bored... so decided to go to the pet shop, for sighseeing :P... met my supervisor there, with her dog... pet some dogs and played with some cats from a shelter... went home... did nothin'...

my roommate just realized that it was my birthday, she was wondering why i didnt tell her... i told that there's no biggie... :P and as i was preparing my stuff for the next day, she and my other roommate turn my lights off, sang a birthday song.... and they gave me this...

aww... they are so sweet... :)... I was touched actually when they gave me that toast with caramel spread... seriously...

On Friday... i went to another petshop after work (again, jjs :P)... and when i returned to my apartment, i found a gift bag on my desk... i took the stuff out... and omg... i found a birthday card... read the card, and it was from my roommie... and also... a container with a betta fish in it... i was so surprised... and happy at the same time... Haven't got a name of the betta fish yet (male), any idea? so far i have 2: Sushi, and Koopa... any input?

Saturday: went to take some pictures for my friend's jiujitsu belt promotion in the afternoon... and just stayed at home... being not productive :P
Sunday: went to the Tallgrass Film Fest... watched a couple of movies (documentaries)... one is titled "The Prodigal Sons," and the other one was "Mine" (almost cried... tahan2 hahaha...), with "Kavi" (a nice one) as the opening short movie... did some walking that morning at downtown... man, baru pertama kali tuh gue jalan2 di downtown wichita... :P it was nice... sepi seh... tp enak... nyantai... ehehehhe... lunch after that... then helped a friend in packing his stuff, and throw some of his stuff away...

Sent my car to the shop yesterday, to get the timing belt changed. I had to leave my car at the shop for about 4 hrs... so i decided to rent one of the cars there at 10bucks per day, so that i didnt have to stay in the shop... They gave me a new 2010 toyota camry... man... I like driving that car... too bad, before i got the chance to takethat car for a spin long enuff, i got a call saying that my car was done... gpp deh... yg penting dah nyoba... hihihi...

It's been crazy weeks eversince i moved to this new apartment... finally my kitchen stuff is moved... hmmm... quizzes and tests were bombarding... making me tired... not just physically... but also mentally... plus, my plan of getting a new job...

Eid is today for those who are on the other side of the globe... Happy Eid... Met Lebaran... to those who's celeberating it... Minal Aidin Wal Faizin.. Mohon maap ye...

Had to wake up early in the morning today, to go to my friend's house to help watching her house (and cooking), since she had to leave the stove on while she and her family went to Eid prayers... i called it... Oporsitting... dapet kesempatan buat comot sono sini.. hehehe...

Luckily there's nothing due tomorrow... planned to sleep earlier than usual tonite... funny... i always thought that i can get more sleeping hours during the weekends... but no... my weekdays sleeping hours are usually longer than my weekends sleeping hours... hahaha... crazy me... prolly because i have this mindset that i'm supposed to use weekend nights to sleep later than usual... hahaha... bodoh!

tinggal kurang dr 2 minggu lagi, en gue mesti cabut dr nih kota... haiz... me not ready... still enjoying my time here... i know i've been giving hard times here to my parents and my aunt... and i feel bad... i really do...

seeing my dad, lots of what if's crossed my mind... in some case, tears are involved... the thought of coming home here for good crossed my mind to... the thought of giving up my selfishness, and just work and accept the reality that what i love is just a dream...

went to a tarrot card reader yesterday with some friends... the guy was friendly and willing to give us some information regarding tarrot card reading and feng shui kinda stuff... what surprised me is that he can read my character hehehe... he knows about my stubborness, he knows about me having lack of communication with my family... he knows about my lifestyle...
here's the summary of my reading:
Career/dream: good (financially and spiritually), have to be no.1 priority, banyak kebingungan...
Jodoh: rada berat, me too picky (was actually kinda surprised about that... hmmm.... maybe my comparison issue...), that person will have the same passion/business as i do (which again, kinda surprised...), didn't ask about that person's name/part of names, or initial... not really interested in knowing...
Health: need to watch my respiratory system, or respiratory related sickness... and also he said i have joints or back or bones problem... hmmm...

Landed here in Jakarta on wednesday afternoon... greeted by the kesibukan jalanan2 aka traffic jam here in this big city...

when i saw my parents at the airport... i was surprised to see how much they've changed since the last time i saw them 1.5 years ago... my dad especially... he had lost lots of weight, and his hair turn mostly gray... i was shocked...

reached home, greeted by my one and only poppy... same thing for her... her age really worn her down... her hair is mostly grey now, and she doesnt walk as well as she used to... it's a struggle for her to walk, even worse to hop in to the car... and then i saw more changes in my house... i used to sleep in the guess bedroom whenever i visited home... but this time, i have to share room with my aunt.. hmmm what else... other changes due to feng shui reasons was also surprising to me and kinda tick me off a little...

Went to the airport last night to pick my brother up... oh yea, there'a a new terminal at CGK, terminal 3... apart from the restroom, the airport itself is pretty neat... unlike the first 2 terminals... this new terminal looks cleaner and more modern... but somehow i prefer the design of terminal 1 and 2, since they have the Indonesian look on them...

landed in singapore yesterday morning... and guess what... i can't find my suitcases... arghhh... seriously... talked to lost and found, and they said that they gonna track them out, and SQ gave me some money to buy some clothing and stuff for temporary use... i gave the phone numbers of my friends since i haven't got my own number here i know that there's nothin much i can do now but waiting... but the anger built in me... seriously... i don't feel at ease at all...

couple of my friends picked me up at the airport yesterday morning, i stay at a friend's house and met the others later on in the afternoon... had dimsum for lunch... went shopping... and end the day watching some stage performances at esplanade... great ones...

as some of you might have known... i've decided to sell most of my lenses... so i put the ad on craigslist about a week or so ago... i have one lens left up for sale... it's been almost a week, and no response so far for that lens... the price that i put on craigslist was $375. Earlier tonight, i received an email, that asked me if the lens is still available, and i replied to her, that it is... after sending the email, i checked the sender's email address, it looked fishy... so i googled her email address, and i found nothing... Got a chance to babysit my friend's dog for 3 days from Sunday... the dog was cute... didn't get enuff sleep coz the dog somehow invaded my bed... he slept right in the middle of my bed, meaning i could only sleep at the edge of my own bed... haiz... decided to put him in his crate in the middle of the night, so that i could get some sleep... luckily, the days that i have to dogsit, are the days that i took days off of work... what a coincidence eh... my friend came to pick up the dog this morning... haiz... rumah gue sepi lagi deh...gosh me miss that dog... oh well...

went to my friend's house with the dog that i babysat, along me brought some food... was busy trying to hold all things, including the dog leash, i forgot to lock my car door... alhasil... when i load the dog to the car to go home, after spending some time at my friend's house, i realized that the compartment of my dashboard was opened, one of my glove was out... besides that, my music cds are out on the driver's seat. I was surprised, and suddenly i remembered that the only worthy things to steal in my car was my mp3 player, along with the earphones... ternyata.. beneran lah... i opened the asthray compartment, where i usually "hide" my mp3 player, hilanglah sudah... haiz...

but wait...
the next day, my friend called me that he filed the kemalingan to the management of his apartment... apparently... there are other 2 cars that's been broken into... one is the apartment's manager car, and the other one is the car of a son of a maintenance guy... few hours later, he messaged me online saying that they might have found my mp3player... it was found in the car of the maintenance guy's son... they predicted that most prolly my car was the first one being broken into... then the thief went to another car, kutak katik sono sini, put the mp3player one of the front seats of the car, and when he was done, he forgot to grab it along with the other stuff... man... i was so happy when my friend told me about the news... but til now i haven't got my mp3 back tho... plus i have not seen if the mp3player found is actually mine or not...

the next day, on a foggy morning... my friend told me that he found finger traces on his car window, looked like somebody was peeping through his car window...

Went to Norman, OK yesterday. went to see a jiu jitsu tournament. A friend was supposed to participate in the event as well... Didn't have enough sleep the night before... only slept for about 2 hours in total... went to bed the night before at about 10-ish, woke up at about 11, coz i couldn't stop sneezing... it was my alergies... bahh... that's what i hate about the warm weather here... especially spring... bah... couldn't stop sneezing, my nose was block, my sinus was hurting me... i was tortured... man, i never had this problem when i was back home tho the air there was worse than the air here... so then i took my alergy pill... i still couldn't sleep, so i decided to take a cough/cold syrup, so that i could fall asleep, but the medicine didn't work rite away... so i was tortured for hours till about 3 am... bah... i had to wake up at 4 to get ready for the trip... luckily when i woke up, i was feeling better, tho the back of my nose was still hurting me... didn't sleep for the 2 1/2 hours drive to OK tho i wasn't driving...

the tournament itself was not really organized... their reason was that it was the first time for the organizer to held such event and the number of people participating was way beyond what they expected... Was there for about 7 hours, waiting for my friend's turn... he waited for his turn long enough, til he decided to withdraw himself from the tournament and asked for refund... So, the 5 of us left the hall... and decided to drive to oklahoma city, which was about 30 minutes from Norman... We went to a chinese/vietnamese restaurant... we ordered roasted duck and bbq pork... went to an asian supermarket after that, and then drove back home...

Was worried that i might fall asleep (coz i got a huge headache) while driving back to my apartment from my friend's house (where i parked my car at before we headed to OK), but luckily i made it. Ate a little dinner before taking a medicine... took a shower, and before i knew it... i was already asleep...

it's been about a week now since we started the challenge... for me, i made no progress... :P... hmmm... worked out almost every morning last week, except Tuesday (again, i was disturbed by my alergies during my sleep)... weighted myself almost everyday, didn't see any difference... a friend of mine told me not to weight everyday, since it is demotivating... she's rite... coz i felt like a week of workout seems useless... i felt good after the morning exercises tho...

hmmm what else... spring break is just a week away... can't wait... gonna have a major chemistry test this week... the prof said that it's gonna be the hardest test in the semester... and honestly to say, this semester, i'm not doing good in that chemistry class... not at all...
